Houses on the canal roads: morning sun on one side, afternoon sun on the other
Most of the side canals in the Rangsit system were dug running north–south, and the canal roads follow them. A house facing the road therefore usually has one side to the east and the other to the west: the east side glares from early morning, the west side takes the long afternoon sun. And because houses out here rarely have a neighbour close enough to cast shade, both sides get it in full. The workable answer is to choose fabric side by side rather than one fabric for the whole house. If there are a lot of windows, one remote can run several motorized blinds together, so nobody has to go room to room closing them when the sun swings across.
