A single motorized roller blind spanning the full opening of a covered front patio, run from a remote. In the clip the fabric travels from the roll at the top down almost to the floor, screening the whole seating area.

This job uses the Novo K45 motor, the higher-torque model in the spec table on the motorized roller blind page. The fabric is the same as for indoor roller blinds. The blind sits under a roof: an IP44 motor copes with splashes and is not made to take rain directly.

Double motorized curtain track · ceiling-fixed, tested before the curtains go up

Two motorized curtain tracks fixed side by side on the ceiling, with the motors at the same end. The clip is the test run before any fabric is hung, so you can see the carriers travel back and forth on their own.

A double track like this is for two-layer curtains, for example a sheer on one track and an opaque curtain on the other.

One wall of this bedroom is solid glass, so the curtain has to run from the ceiling to the floor and across the full width. Pulling a curtain that size by hand every morning and evening gets old fast, so this one went on a motorized track.

It opens and closes from a remote — one press and the curtain draws back to the view. The clips were shot on site once the job was finished.

Zip blinds · outside the glass and along a patio

A zip blind is a roller blind whose two side edges run inside channels for the full height, instead of hanging free like an ordinary roller. That is why it tends to go on the outside of glass or on open areas such as a patio.

The first clip is in front of glass doors, rolled up by remote; the second closes off the side of a patio. Both were filmed on site.

Pleated curtain in a function hall · converted to a motorized track, customer's own fabric

The customer already had a large pleated curtain and wanted to keep it. So no new fabric was cut — only the track and motor were replaced to make it electric.

On a curtain nearly as wide as the hall's wall, opening by hand means someone walking each side across. On a motorized track both halves part together, as the clip shows.

This house has two kinds of window: tall, narrow slots of glass along the hallway, and a long glass wall split into several wooden blinds side by side.

The slats tilt, so they can be opened to let light in or shut completely. This job uses manual pull operation.
